Neverstar to record debut album in January 2012
Watford, UK – With a mix of symphonic sounds, heavy guitar and female vocals, Watford based Neverstar will enter the studio to record their debut album on 6 January 2012 with producer Neil Haynes whose recent credentials include The Fallen, Awake, Doctor Fonda and Dead Man’s Crossing. The album will be recorded at The Parlour studios in Northampton.
According to Neverstar front woman Vega Sims, “We’re so excited to record the tracks that we have been working on for such a long time. We’ve been polishing our sound, reinventing our writing style and taking our music to the next level. I can’t wait to show people what we’ve been up to, as this album will introduce us to the world. It’s been an unbelievable experience and we’ve done some serious bonding as a band. This project has been tremendous and I love our new material as the songs are very personal. We’re looking forward to working with Neil Haynes as we love his work and I believe that he will help us create a memorable debut album.”
Neil Haynes from The Parlour studios added, “I am really looking forward to working with Neverstar, the early demos they have sent me are awesome, this record is gonna sound huge.”
Neverstar was formed in 2009 and spent almost a year and a half recording demos and finding their feet as a band before taking the live circuit in 2011. They have played some of the major London venues and will be hitting the festival circuit in 2012.
The band's signature sound is inspired by classical and symphonic tones mixed with pounding guitars and immense vocal melodies. Neverstar’s music is a mixture of emotion filled with theatrical ambiance and dark characteristics.
Neverstar is Vega Sims (vocals), Pieter Cronje (guitar) Anthony Evans (bass) and Leigh Prout (drums).
Upcoming shows: 11 November 2011, Headline act, The Underworld, Camden – London UK.
